RUGIPO Approved Academic Calendar

This is to inform the general public, especially students of the Institution that the Academic Session for 2022/2023 Session has been approved.

Recommended:

As reflected in the approved academic calendar, fresh students are to resume on Monday 23rd January, while returning students are to resume on Sunday 29th January 2023.

The lecture commences for all categories of students on Monday 30th January 2023.

Details of the approved Academic Calendar are provided below;

RUGIPO Academic Calendar First Semester

JANUARY 2023

Monday 23rd – Resumption of fresh students
Monday 23rd – Friday 27th – i) Screening/Registration of Fresh Students and allocation of Hostel accommodation.
ii) Orientation Programme for fresh students.
Sunday 29th – Resumption of Returning students (Those on SIWES not inclusive).
Monday 30th – Lectures start for all (new and returning) students.

MARCH 2023

Wednesday 29th – Friday 31st – Mid-Semester Examination.

APRIL 2023

Friday 21st – Conclusion of Lectures.
Friday 21st – Matriculation of Fresh Students.
Monday 24th – Friday 5th MAY – Semester Examinations. (Those on SIWES not inclusive).

MAY 2023

Tuesday 2nd – Friday 5th – Resumption/Registration of SIWES Students.
May 8th – Friday 30th JUNE – Matriculation of Fresh Students.

JULY 2023

Monday 3rd – Friday 14th – Semester Examination for SIWES Students.
Friday 14th – End of First Semester in the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

JULY 2023

Sunday 16th – Resumption for all Students.
Monday 17th – Commencement of Lecture for all Students.

AUGUST 2023

Wednesday 30th – Friday 1st September – Mid-Semester Examination.

SEPTEMBER 2023

Friday 22nd – Conclusion of Lectures.
Monday 25th – Friday 29th – Student Union Week (SUG).

OCTOBER 2023

Monday 2nd – Friday 13th – Semester Examination.
Friday 13th – End of the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

SUMMARY

First Semester Begins: on 23rd January 2023.
First Semester Mid-Examination: Wednesday, 29th – Friday, 31st March 2023.
First Semester Examination: Monday, 24th April – Friday, 5th May 2023.
SIWES Students Resumption: Tuesday, 2nd May 2023 – Friday, 5th May 2023.
SIWES Students Examination: Monday, 3rd July – Friday, July 2023.
End of the First Semester: 14th July 2023.

The second Semester Begins: Sunday, 16th July 2023.
Second Semester Mid-Examination: Wednesday 30th August – Friday, 1st September 2023.
Second Semester Examination: Monday 2nd – Friday, 13th October 2023.
End of the Second Semester: Friday, 13th October 2023.
