OOU 40th Foundation Anniversary Schedule
The Governing Council of the University, having agreed on 31 January 1983 as the University’s Foundation Day, has approved a series of Activities to commemorate and mark the University’s 40th Foundation Anniversary.
The goal of the University’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations and Commemoration is to highlight the University’s achievements, celebrate its growth and successes, and bring the University Community together (through a series of Events and Activities) with its Alumni, Public and Corporate World, and Society at large. Moreover, during this Anniversary, the University plans to solicit Endowments and Donations.

The Anniversary has been approved to be spread across six (06) months, beginning in January and ending in June 2023.
The Anniversary has also been separated into six (06) phases, the first of which is as follows;

PROGRAMME: Founders Day Launching of the Anniversary Logo and the Vice-Chancellor’s Media Parley
VENUE: Senate Chambers
TIME: 10.00 a.m
DAY: Friday, 3rd February 2023
PROGRAMME: Jumat Service
VENUE: Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque
TIME: 1.00 p.m
DAY: Sunday, 5th February 2023
PROGRAMME: Church Service
VENUE: The Cathedral of St. Peter. Ake, Abeokuta
TIME: 10.00 a.m
Members of the University Community will be informed of the other phases accordingly.
